Kindred Motes of KMSG Named a 2024 Power Player in Corporate Social Responsibility

New York, NY – KM Strategies Group (KMSG) is delighted to announce that its founder and managing director, Kindred Motes, has been recognized as one of the 2024 Power Players in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), a distinction granted by PoliticsNY and amNY Metro. This annual list honors the trailblazers making significant contributions to New York City and the state through dedicated CSR efforts. Leaders featured in prior lists have included executives from Bloomberg Philanthropies, Ralph Lauren, Citi Foundation, JPMorgan Chase, Deloitte, American Express, The Ford Foundation, and KPMG.

Kindred is an award-winning social impact leader who has advised clients including USAID, Global Citizen, NYC Health, and The Henry Luce Foundation. He is co-founder of The Etolia Fund and vice chair of the board of directors for the ACLU of Alabama. He has served as a Senior Advisor to Global Citizen, New America, and Fountain House. His global campaigns and strategies for clients have engaged 400M+ accounts and helped causes gain 1.1M+ social media followers.

Kindred’s commitment to leveraging corporate and philanthropic strategies for social good is at the heart of his recognition. Under his leadership, KMSG has become a model of corporate social responsibility, committing 10% of its net profits to nonprofit organizations. Since 2021, Kindred and KMSG have donated more than $100,000 to nonprofit movements for social good through The Etolia Fund.

JaTaune Bosby Gilchrist, Executive Director of the ACLU of Alabama, noted, “KMSG is redefining social impact and responsibility in a sector where their investments are needed most. They model modern social impact giving: a collective, community-informed, and transparent giving strategy conducted to allow organizations to focus on simply moving their work forward.”

Michael Sheldrick, co-founder of Global Citizen, praised KMSG in Forbes Magazine, stating, "KMSG is a next-generation firm that is leading innovative and necessary reforms [to the social impact sector]. Its early success and profitability from day one are a successful case study and counter-narrative to the misguided notion that new businesses must choose between profit and social responsibility."

The 2024 Power Players in CSR list, featuring Kindred Motes and other influential leaders across New York City and State, was published on February 14th on PoliticsNY.com and in the print edition of amNY Metro. It celebrates the visionaries and organizations leading New York’s journey toward a more responsible and inclusive future.
